the big idea finds you, you don’t find it. you don’t build a killer app. you build a whole bunch of stuff, over and over and one or several of them become an innovation. think of things that are killer apps and compare them to things that are billed as killer apps. usually there is less fanfare for the actual killers.
That’s something that interests me about “innovation” and the way it is talked about. It is often implemented as a process that results in innovation when everything’s said and done. But the truth is, if you can say “I just innovated!” you likely have not. Innovation is a thing and not a process. A noun and not a verb. Never a gerund.
